I bought my first 323 back in 2000, a 1993 323GT-X, freshly imported in Black. At the time, it was my first four wheel drive car, after owning plenty of front and rear wheel drive turbo cars. I loved the handling and traction, and after a change of air filter and increase in boost, it went pretty well too.
That's when I discovered the 323GT-R. Up till now, I'd never heard of it, but after searching the web for GT-X info, I discovered the GT-R, and knew I had to have one.
I kept the GT-X until early 2001, when I bought my first GT-R, a 1993 model in Black.

Whilst the car was completely standard, I attended a rolling road day, and the graph is attached above. As you can see, the power figure matches exactly what Mazda claimed for the European cars, rather than the 180PS JIS figure claimed in Japan. Case closed on that one then!
