Shortly after buying it, 3rd gear failed in the gearbox. This was repaired, then the transfer carrier failed a few weeks later. Again, it was repaired, then the rear diff began to make strange noises, which resulted in him losing faith in the car and it's reliability.... At this point, I bought the car, had the gearbox and diff fully rebuilt, then started modifying!
The car was already quite highly modified when it arrived from Japan, and Jon had had a rolling road test shortly after buying the car which showed 280BHP at 1 bar boost.

This was followed by a Blue Flame 3 Inch Exhaust, K+N Air Filter , Greddy E-Manage and E-01 Boost Controller, all fitted within a week of my buying the car! In this spec, the car was dyno'd at 354BHP at 1.4 Bar boost! At Elvington, in the wet, I also managed a 12.86 qtr mile at 119 mph.
I ran the car in this spec for many months, before a faulty map sensor caused the engine to run lean and melt a piston whilst at York Raceway, trying for an 11 second pass...
